Buah Berbiji Mencegah Penyakit Jantung dan Diabetes

Buah berbiji seperti nektarin, persik, dan plum mengandung unsur bioaktif yang melawan obesitas, resistensi insulin, hipertensi, dan kadar kolesterol tinggi. Itulah temuan para peneliti AS di Texas A & M University. Hasil penelitian tersebut, yang akan dipresentasikan pada American Chemical Society di Philadelphia Agustus mendatang, menunjukkan bahwa senyawa dalam buah berbiji (stonefruit) bisa menjadi senjata melawan sindrom metabolik, sehingga mengurangi kemungkinan terkena penyakit jantung dan diabetes.

"Studi kami menunjukkan bahwa buah berbiji– buah persik, plum dan nektarin — memiliki senyawa bioaktif yang berpotensi dapat melawan sindrom metabolik,” kata Dr Luis Cisneros-Zevallos, pemimpin penelitian. "Pekerjaan kami menunjukkan bahwa senyawa fenolik yang hadir dalam buah-buahan ini memiliki properti anti-obesitas, anti-inflamasi dan anti-diabetes di lini sel yang berbeda dan juga dapat mengurangi oksidasi kolesterol jahat (LDL) yang berhubungan dengan penyakit kardiovaskuler.”

Sebagai informasi, buah berbiji (stone fruit) dalam botani adalah kelompok buah yang memiliki kulit dan daging buah mengelilingi sebuah biji atau kernel. Buah-buahan ini memiliki karakteristik definitif berupa biji yang keras dan mengalami lignifikasi (berlubang), yang berasal dari dinding ovarium bunga. Selain nektarin, persik dan plum, beberapa tanaman berbunga lain dalam kelompok buah ini adalah kopi, mangga, zaitun, kurma, kelapa, kelapa sawit, almond, aprikot dan ceri.

Untuk studi mereka, para ilmuwan mengisolasi senyawa kimia tertentu dari nektarin, persik dan plum. Hasil kultur sel menunjukkan bahwa keempat kelompok utama fitokimia– anthocyanin, asam klorogenat, quercetin dan catechin–bekerja secara langsung pada lemak, sel-sel makrofag dan sel-sel pada dinding pembuluh darah. "Zat-zat tanaman itu mengubah aktivitas gen dan produksi protein sel-sel dan dengan demikian memiliki efek anti-inflamasi,” kata Cisneros-Zevallos, yang juga seorang profesor di Texas A & M University.

Sejauh mana pengaruh mengonsumsi buah persik dan buah berbiji lainnya terhadap sindrom metabolik dalam kehidupan nyata, masih belum jelas. Dalam langkah berikutnya, para peneliti akan menyelidiki mekanisme molekuler apa di belakang efek positif yang ditemukan. Mereka juga berencana untuk mengkonfirmasi temuan itu dalam percobaan pada tikus.

Boot an infected computer from this recovery medium to both scan and clean the system. This version is based on the latest ESET NOD32 Antivirus (5.0.94.0).

The main advantage of ESET SysRescue is the fact that it runs independent of the host operating system, while it has a direct access to the disk and the entire filesystem. Thanks to this it is possible to remove those infiltrations that normally could not be deleted, e.g. when the operating system is running, etc.

Scanning speed is pretty fast compared to other rescue disks. The scan is very thorough as it tries to scan files inside compressed archive and also in setup installers. With the latest virus signature database (6542), it manages to catch all of known viruses by October 14, 2011.

For the rescue CD to use effectively, you must provide that the computer boots from the ESET SysRescue boot media. Boot priority can be modified in the BIOS. Alternatively, you can invoke the boot menu during the computer startup – usually using one of the F9 – F12 keys depending on the version of your motherboard/BIOS.

The content of the CD will be written to the operating memory (RAM). After booting up, ESS will start. Since ESET SysRescue is used only in specific situations, some protection modules and program features present in regular ESS are not needed; their list is narrowed down to Computer scan, Update, and some sections in Setup. Capability of updating virus signature database is the most important feature of ESET SysRescue.

Suppose that computers in the network have been infected by a virus modifying executable (EXE) files. ESS is capable of cleaning all infected files except for explorer.exe, which can’t be cleaned, not even in the Safe mode. That is due to the fact that explorer.exe, as one of the essential Windows processes, is launched in the Safe mode as well. ESS cannot perform any action with the file and therefore it remains infected.

In such a scenario, you can employ ESET SysRescue to solve the problem. ESET SysRescue does not require any component of the host operating system. Therefore it is capable of processing (cleaning, deleting) any file on the disk.

Recommendation : Burn the ISO image at low speed (8x if available)
